Behavioral Health Services

We encourage family members to participate in decision making and discharge planning, as they are crucial to the treatment team and support for the patient.

At Anaheim Global Medical Center, we are dedicated to promoting the health and independence of our patients.

The Behavioral Health Program at Anaheim Global Medical Center provides behavioral health services for adults of all ages who seek treatment for a variety of mental health concerns. Our fully accredited services include comprehensive care for emotional and behavioral health illnesses such as major depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, schizophrenic disorders, and more. Our team of psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric registered nurses, social workers, and occupational therapists offers a well-rounded approach to behavioral healthcare.

We provide patient centered treatment options including group treatment, individual sessions, and personalized discharge planning with our social workers. We also provide thorough education and support groups for our patients’ caregivers and family members. Not only do we staff multilingual team members, we also offer translation services upon request.

Our intake team at Anaheim Global Medical Center provides psychiatric assessments and counselors on our crisis line 24/7. For more information about our Behavioral Health Program or to speak with a crisis counselor, please call (714) 254-0590.

At Anaheim Global Medical Center, our caring team works collaboratively with families and loved ones through integrated programs that offer medical, social, emotional, and psychiatric support unique to the needs of seniors. In 2014, we reopened our newly remodeled Geropsychiatric Unit. We are very proud to announce our Senior Behavioral Health Unit has been designated by the County of Orange as a Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS) Unit and is a premier location serving all senior behavioral health patients.

Our Senior Behavioral Health Program, serves patients aged 55 years and older with acute behavioral issues. Physicians and staff members treat patients with a variety of illnesses including mood disorders, acute psychosis, major depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorders of aging and early dementia. It includes individualized assessment and treatment planning, therapeutic daily activities, and comprehensive discharge planning. The multidisciplinary team includes psychiatrists, internal medicine physicians, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, registered nutritionists, physical, and occupational therapists. In addition, we provide new and innovative treatment modalities such as music, art, and occupational therapy.

We encourage family members to participate in decision making and discharge planning, as they are crucial to the treatment team and support for the patient. This promotes the patient’s progress and successful transitions post-discharge.
