Gastroenterology (GI) focuses on digestion and issues of the digestive system. We provide services including but not limited to colonoscopies, EGDs, endoscopies, and GI ultrasounds.
In gastroenterology, imaging plays a key role in diagnosing conditions. The following are some common imaging techniques used in the GI department:
- Endoscopy. An endoscopy is a non-surgical procedure in which a flexible tube called an endoscope is used to examine parts of the digestive tract. A light and camera are attached to the endoscope, allowing doctors to see color images of the digestive tract.
- Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD). Also referred to as an upper GI endoscopy, an EGD is used to view the esophagus, stomach, and small intestine.
- Colonoscopy. A colonoscopy is also a form of endoscopy. However, the endoscope enters the body through the rectum in order to view the large intestine (colon).
- GI ultrasound. Also called an abdominal ultrasound, the procedure uses sound waves to produce images of the internal organs. Ultrasounds are safe, painless, and non-invasive, and capture images in real time.
Anaheim Global Medical Center provides high quality inpatient and outpatient surgical services. Whether you schedule your surgery with one of our expert surgeons or find yourself in an emergency situation through our Emergency Department, your surgery and recovery will be treated with the utmost compassion and quality of care.
Many surgeries can be performed now on an outpatient basis. We offer some of the latest equipment that allows us to provide a wide range of surgery options designed to get you home and back to your regular routine quickly.
Anaheim Global Medical Center prides itself on providing excellence in care to patients in our medical surgical unit. Our medical surgical unit provides services for inpatients who are either acutely ill or who are recovering from surgery, require regular monitoring, and nursing care. A wide range of interdisciplinary services are provided to patients with a variety of health concerns including but not limited to ventilator dependency, respiratory ailments, pain management, and cardiac conditions.
At Anaheim Global Medical Center, our compassionate surgeons and medical specialists provide personalized patient care and minimally invasive surgical options, as well as an ongoing dedication to resolving your orthopedic condition and/or injury.
Pain management and physical therapy may not always address the root cause of pain. After a thorough consultation, orthopedic surgery may be the answer.
Our approach to serious orthopedic conditions, injuries, and disorders always includes a full evaluation of our patients’ health. We provide thorough and comprehensive tests usually including CAT (CT) scans, X-rays, and in some cases, MRI scans, as well as a full evaluation of the body and family health history of each patient. Extensive testing is then evaluated to determine the best possible treatment with the patients’ long-term well-being and recovery as our primary objective.
We look forward to serving your needs and getting you back to enjoying life in great health.

This has been shown to improve long term outcomes.
